okay figured it out

This is for Cindy so she can eat the rest of the sugo

big ol pat of butter and chili flakes.  fry for a few seconds

Add the Sugo.  dont touch it just pour it in and let it fry.  You will smell some browning which means mo flava

When its fried about 2 to 3 minutes add the pasta

stir that shit up and add parsley if u want.  If it starts to dry out add pasta water.

  Serve.

It should be saucy, it should be buttery, and it should be delish
No more posts from me about Sugo.  I dont really even care for it much.  hahaha

Bought Soondooboo from John's Deli and Snacks
NO BUENO

Its too thin and lacks real flavor.

But if you recall from a previous post their Kimchee Burrito is GOOD!

anyways we had Bun at home

and I added color changing lights to give our front door a strange glow.

Pork Sugo 1.1

So the last time I made the sugo it was sort of bland.

Looked good but wasnt saucy enough

This time i made it the flavor was there.
But I still made it way too dry!
Hopefully third times a charm.

Was too lazy to cut up our salad....
turns out we like it better with big ol leaves.
haha!!  Being lazy wins

These Jimmy Dean frozen breakfast sammys are perfect
when you dont have time to cook.

Look at the fog!!!

you know how i love to eat these squid snacks?

attached to the leg portions is the beak or mouth.
You can eat it =P

 Bugles

What we do with old wine bottles... oil bottles.

Eating Out

Amina finally took me to the Old Port Lobster Shack

Where a lobster roll will run you 19 bucks each... or you can do what we did and get the double for 35 bucks.  I am not really a fan of lobster rolls.  Too bland.

Then we went to Saison.  Heres a shitty picture of the nights menu for the shitty blog.

Chef Skenes caught me taking a picture of the kitchen which I guess is somewhat frowned upon.
So instead of taking pictures of the food...
... I took pictures of the bathroom

Bathroom was clean and heated.
The food was GOOD but the portions were so damned small.
Be ready to pay up the butt to eat here.  $198 + $100 for wine pairing + tax and tip will run you $380 per person.
I'd rather eat at Danko and be ridiculously full for half the price.

Eating at home with the piggies

Had the entire week off.  Made lots of food.  Mary, Diane, Sue, and Matt stayed with us one night.  It was so much fun.  We ate prime rib

And as we sat around drinking we got hungry again so we made soup dumplings

They taste very good for store bought.  We pigged out on fried rice and cheese and conservas but I did not take pictures.  Just know that we are fucking pigs.

Hot Pot night just me and Amoyna

Sitting at the coffee table watching TV!!!  We watched the entire first season of American Horror Story and two seasons of the Walking Dead-  not really good shows to watch while eating.

Then we had Les over.  Les is normally a Vegan but he said F it its the holidays so we had potato soup...

...and duck confit

and some local Livermore wine

We had more friends over and I decided to make a gangload of fried chicken.

I had to cook the chicken in 6 batches

thigh

after 3 batches of just legs and wings

Needed to eat stuff that wasny so oily so Amino and I had korean chicken soup

stuffed with garlic and sweet rice.  Mmmm kimchee.

and I was craving seafood so we had a seafood fest

with baby ocotopus

and oysters

shrimp peelers

deep fried fish

and tuna poke

and Ameena makes dinner!!!!

Kindle fire is perfect for looking at recipes and shit

I was in charge of the polenta

Veal scallopini.  So yummmy.  Amoyna needs to cook more often.
